About Us

The Shariah Advisory Council (SAC) was established August 03rd 2007 in its sole authoritive capacity to ascertain Shariah compliance of banking services, financial products and commercial establishments requiring compliance supervision and/or regulation.

The SAC members may alternate, nonetheless the composition will always consists of uniquely qualified religious parson(s), endowed academic(s) and esteemed professional(s), all of which, revered scholars in Shariah, with keen knowledge of Fiqh Al-Muamalat, positive law and Islamic finance.

The SAC with support of ARABCCI’s Council enjoys unparalleled access to panels of commerce advocates, Islamic references and constitutional records. Notwithstanding the aforesaid, the SAC principals proficiency in the Chinese, Arabic and English languages and cultures, uniquely qualify them to, discriminate comparative issues of Shariah relevance.
